Activision Blizzard hat mit Guitar Hero: Van Halen eine weitere Kultband in ihrem Portfolio aufnehmen können. Neben der namensgebenden Band sollen auch Künstler wie „Queen“, „Weezer“, „Blink-182“, „The Offspring“ und „Queens of the Stone Age“ das heimische Wohnzimmer rocken. Wie es sich für einen anständigen Xbox 360-Titel gehört gibt es auch jede Menge Achievements, die nur auf ihre Freischaltung warten:
